The Lattice Bumper Project
by The Shock Lab
A technology for everyone
A revolution in end stroke support.
A new level of bottom out protection, optimized layer by layer for seamless, progressive and long-lasting bottom out resistance.
Soft at the start so you don’t feel it engage, consistent in the middle for improved predictability, supportive at the end to prevent harsh bottom outs.
Top, bottom, sides, infill, and dozens of other parameters can be independently tuned to improve specific aspects of the bumper with no compromise in other areas.
9 options to choose from:
10, 15 or 20mm height
Soft, Medium and Firm spring rates
Side ports allow for venting
reducing their effective volume
giving you full control of the spring curve
Too many options?
Don’t worry, here’s our recommendation!
Size
190/165mm shocks: Short (10mm)
210/185mm shocks: Medium (15mm)
230/205mm shocks: Tall (20mm)
250/225mm shocks: Tall (20mm)
Spring rate
Air shocks: Medium
Coil shocks: Firm
Taller and stiffer bumpers result in more “unusable” travel, however, this effect can be considerably reduced compared to traditional bumpers.
The best part?
We can design, print and test any bumper in a matter of hours, right from our workshop.
This allows us to provide you solutions and custom options for virtually any of your bumper needs!
Endless posibilities with 3D printing.
Hollow top out bumpers
These can considerably reduce the effective volume the bumper takes inside the air spring, giving it a bit of extra negative volume for increased sensitivity on older forks.

Just $10. But Why?
This is an introduction offer, of course, but there’s a deeper reasoning behind the low price.
Each one of these takes an eternity to make when compared to injection molded bumpers. We would have to price our bumpers for considerably more in order to make similar profits as current bumper manufacturers/retailers.
However, we hope that bringing a superior product for a similar (or lower) price can help bring the market prices down and/or push innovation forward.
Besides, we want to make this technology accessible to everyone with a capable printer setup, and keep it open source, so anyone can use and contribute to the project.
“Current bumper offerings may have fancy external geometries and compounds, but they’re still just a solid block of rubber”
-Pythagoras, probably.
