Soft jaws allow you to securely clamp your shock on the vise without any scratches or damage.
These are the options:
-Raw Aluminum Angle - 12 inches (~30cm) of 1/16” thick L-shape aluminum angle, so you can cut it down to size yourself.
-Custom Aluminum Angle - 1/16” thick L-shape aluminum angle, custom cut to your vise width.
-Custom 3D Printed w/Magnets - The softest/most protective we offer (so far). These are stiff enough to hold parts firmly, yet soft enough to protect your shock from any damage. They come with integrated magnets to keep them in place.
Please note:
All custom options require your vise jaws width, 3D printed jaws also require your jaws height, we will contact you after you place your order.
Aluminum angle jaws don’t have magnets to keep them in place and can be a bit trickier to use.
3D printed jaws can last you dozens of rebuilds when used with care, they are not a “disposable” item, however, they can be used as “sacrificial” jaws for special cases, such as something delicate that is stuck in place and/or really tight, you can crank the vise tighter so they deform around the part for improved grip/stiffness without damaging the part. These are excluded from our 1-year warranty, however, we would be happy to get you a 50% discount if you need a new set.
